Retreat of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet in Poland inferred from cosmogenic (10Be) dating of glacial erratics (DatErr)

Project "DatErr" is focused on cosmogenic (10Be) dating of glacial erratics in Poland. Research is funded by the National Science Centre (NSC) in Poland under the SONATA scheme. The project is conducted at the University of Gdansk in colaboration with the Laboratoire de Géographie Physique (CNRS, France) and the Laboratoire National des Nucléides Cosmogéniques (LN2C) at CEREGE (France).

The aim of this project is to reconstruct the chronology and dynamics of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet (SIS) recession in North Western Poland based on cosmogenic nuclide 10Be dating of erratic boulders.

Duration of the project: 2015-2018

Amount of funding: 264 719,00 PLN
